Milner Police officers took a six hour course today at the Butts
County Sheriff's Office. This training is required in order to
utilize the taser. The taser is a non deadly force option that is
known as an electronic controlled device. Even though it is not
required at the moment that officer's actually get exposed, I am
pleased that all of the officers including myself went through
with the training. I feel that it is imperative that we know first
hand what the effects are of any non deadly tool that we utilize.
